About The Cottage

Receive a warm traditional welcome at Allmans Heath assuring excellent accomodation, in a recently renovated farm cottage with stunning views of the Peak Moors from both of immaculately presented rooms.

The cottage has beamed rooms, an open fire in the guests lounge a wood burning stove in the dining room and many period features, the views from the dining room are uninterupted and breathtaking of the surrounding Peak District and Swineshaw reservoir.

We are a very conveniant location for visitors to the Peak District and any who is looking for relaxed surroundings with panoramic views yet only 5 minutes from Glossop town centre and all its amenities also Manchester is only a 25 minute train journey away.

The cottage has 1 double room en suite, 1 twin with 3/4 beds and also private bathroom. There is a cot and Z bed available upon request. Each room has a tea/coffee making facilities and radio/cd player. Wireless internet is also available in all rooms at no extra cost.

Nestling in the foothills of the Pennines we are a haven for walkers, cyclists and countrylovers. We also offer a service for guests who are walking the Pennine Way and could collect you from Crowden and return you there the next day. Room Rates

Breakfasts at Allmans Heath are delicious and hearty, there is an extensive menu with vegetarian options, homemade bread and Derbyshire oatcakes are on the menu plus freshly laid eggs from our free range hens.

Our room rates are as follows and all include a full english breakfast:

  • £30.00 - per person per night
  • £40.00 - single occupancy
  • Free - Children under 5yrs
  • £16.00 - Children 5yrs to 12yrs

Payments can be made by cheque or cash. All cheques made payable to J Naylor.

Rooms may be reserved in advance by sending a deposit of £15 per person.

A cancellation will result in the loss of your deposit.

Directions from Glossop Train Station / Town Centre: Take a left turning on to Norfolk Street (B6105), proceed up the hill for one mile exactly passing cemetary road on your left, through a tunnel of trees and you will find us on your left turning in at the farm gate.
